Learning unit contents

Introduction to law: Generalities, notions of criminal law.
Civil law: Family law: filiation, capacity of the people, incapacities and their protections, marriage, personal and patrimonial effects of marriage,the status of the property, succession.Tthe types of evidence etablishement acts and facts in civil law. The main rules applicable to the contract, specially bill of sale, rental agreement...

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The Student will get a basic knowledge of civil law. He will be able to resolve simple frequent exercices. He'll learn specific vocabulary. The student will be able to define the key terms used in the legal matter.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

No prerequisites.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Presentation with examples and case studies. After each chapter, the student will solve application. He will actively participate in the course.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Regular attendance of the student. The course includes 2 one-hour periods every week taught throughout the year.

Assessment methods and criteria

There are 2 exams in january and june. The exam for the january counts half point total evaluation. 
The test includes open-ended questions to assess the knowledge of the course but also the reasoning ability of the student.
