Learning unit contents
This course deals with the discovery of the GIScience field, first through a general and transveral introduction and then focusing on severals cutting-edge researches.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, the student will be able to
- associate the various concepts acquired during his / her studies with the domains of the science of geographic information;
- identify and address research topics of the discipline;
- to link a scientific article of the discipline to a particular sector;
- summarize a domain conference abstract and communicate on.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic and advances knowledge in Geographic Information Systems.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
introduction courses followed by research seminars. An inverted class approach is applied.
