Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course is tailored to provide master students of the international cooperation programs at the National University of Civil Engineering with necessary knowledge and practice ( procedures) in conducting a scientific research and writing up a paper or a thesis.
Steps are pointed out to show sequence of works to proceed in conducting a research and writing a paper. From international practices students can learn procedures that help them conduct a research professionally and prepare paper outputs like papers, reports or thesis. An internationally standardized sample format of a thesis is introduced for students to follow in preparation of their final thesis.
The course is designed for 6 classes with every 4 class hours per class. Introduction lectures are mainly used to give students necessary knowledge and procedures. Discussion and home work or group presentation in class are also applied during the course
