Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
"Introduction to Bioelectronics" targets the application of electronic principles to biology and medicine. The unit content covers wireless inductive power links and telemetry for medical implants, implantable and non-invasive medical electronics, bio-instrumentation and signal conditioning circuits, biopotential amplifiers, and an introduction to powering schemes.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
After attending the course students will be familiar with:
- basic electronic circuits used for biomedical signal conditioning and biopotential amplification.
- wireless inductive powering and telemetry for biomedical implants.
- introductory non-invasive measurements, such as ECG and PPG.
- implanted electronic circuit principles, such as the cochlear implant.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
