Learning unit contents

Going to courts is the classic way of resolving disputes. The course - Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution - deals with the alternative ways which are developing every day. First it will be necessary to define them and make the necessary distinctions (arbitration, negotiation, mediation, conciliation, mini-trial, etc.). It is then possible to study their legal regime.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The purpose of the course is to enable the students to determine, in consideration of the circumstances of a case, what is the best way to resolve a dispute. The main focus will be on arbitration.
