Learning unit contents

Participation in consultations, in surgical interventions, in anesthesia, in the treatment of the hospitalized patients, and in the admissions of emergencies.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Equidae To confront the students with real clinical cases; To have the ability to provide a differential diagnosis and to propose an adequate treatment in equine medicine, surgery and reprductio; Be able to propose an appropriate anesthesia protocol and to ensure the patient's monitoring during general anesthesia; Be able to perform the initial emergency care and to ensure the treatment of the intensive care patients.
