Learning unit contents

TMEM0561-1  Thesis is a course in block 2 of the master's degree (Q9+Q10) which is organised  to help students formalise their thesis.
The thesis is a personal piece of work that is done at the end of the master's degree. The thesis is supervised by the sponsor and possibly a co-sponsor; the coordinator (Mrs D. PRINA) guides students and helps them to accomplish the various necessary administrative tasks.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

By the end of the course, students will be able to use the knowledge they have learnt to implement a personal, methodical and scientifically rigorous approach relating to a research question in architecture or closely related fields. In particular, the thesis will demonstrate the students' ability to structure their thoughts, support a critical stance, rationalise their practice, and communicate the results of their approach in a well-argued manner.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Have sufficient knowledge of the bibliographical, methodological and communication tools required to write a scientific text.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
