Learning unit contents

Historical and philosophical approach of major aesthetic theories from the 19th to the 20th century. The course is about the metaphysics of art.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

To allow students to take into consideration the development of major concepts of aesthetics as they appear in the 19th and 20th centuries. To promote the understanding and the proper handling of these concepts.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Length and time period : 30 hours, 1st quadrimester. Location and schedule : Petit Physique, Mondays from 14h to 16h.
