Learning unit contents

By taking advantage of the concerted contribution of various trends and approaches (cognitive psychology, social psychology, systemic approaches, constructivism, gestalt, language anthropology...), this course teaches students how to interpret and understand the diversity within adult learning processes and to envision how to take this diversity into account when developing training strategies and philosophies.
Beside the learning process of individuals, that of organizational systems is also covered.
The concept of learning process is also considered from the point of view of the transformation of individuals and systems.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The goal of the course is to teach students to identify, understand, analyze and utilize the various learning styles of individuals and systems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course includes the organization of a workshop during which students have the opportunity to conceive and apply a learning sequence and to benefit from video-assisted feedback.
Practical applications are also included in the course.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

The class takes place during the first quarter, the workshop takes place during the month of April.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student evaluations are based on the conception of a pedagogical sequence during the practical part of the course. Each student produces a personal sequence, in which he or she includes one or several theoretical frameworks linked to the learning process and puts this sequence into practice. Based on a report describing the approach that was followed, on the pedagogical work and on its performance, each student receives a formative and summative evaluation.
