Learning unit contents

This course is dedicated to preparing the end of study work related to the orientation and the writing of the research protocol. Application of the theoretical notions studied during the courses of "Transdisciplinary approach of public health issues (METO0750-2)" and "Documentary resources: Approach by conclusive data (METO1002-1)".

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Formulate and scientifically rationalise an original research question related to Public health Sciences and justify the orientation chosen by the student.
  • Choose and rationalise a research approch to answer the research question.
  • Write scientifically with clarity, precision, conciseness and coherence.

Authorization to defend the end of study work is determined by the success (rating greater than or equal to 10/20) of this course. Therefore, failing the course will automatically imply an "excused from" MMEM0750-1.

Organizational remarks

Management of Healthcare Institutions and promoting health orientations will be supervised by Professor Michèle GUILLAUME and Mrs. Sylvie Streel.    Advanced nursing practice orientation will be supervised by Mrs. Jacinthe DANCOT and Mrs. Nadine JACQMIN.      Critical patient orientation - option Intensive Care and Emergencies will be supervised by Professor Alexandre GHUYSEN.
Critical patient orientation - option Perfusion will be supervised by Marc Gilbert LAGNY.     Epidemiology and health economics orientation will be supervised  by Professor Olivier BRUYERE.
