Systematic review of the literature : theory and milestones
Advanced bibliographic research: use of Medline (via PubMed or Ovid) and Scopus
Use of a bibliographic reference management software

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of this course is to provide the student with elements required to perform, interpret and analyze critically a systematic review of the literature on any subject of Public Health. This should enable the student to acquire a global and synthetic vision of a specific topic of Public Health in order to extract the most relevant elements. The student will have to clearly define the objective a priori, to establish a exhaustive research strategy in several databases, evaluate the validity and relevance of publications, extract data and synthesize.
