Gastroentérologie
This course tackles chronic diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract for which a psychological trauma may be involved in evolution and natural history and for which it is thus sometimes difficult to distinguish between natural history and worsening due to psychological trauma.
In particular, the following diseases will be reviewed: gastro-duodenal ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic pancreatitis. Epidemiology and natural history of these diseases are reviewed as well as the potential impact of psychological trauma.

To know natural history of gastro-duodenal ulllcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic pancratitis.
Understand the influence of psychological status on ethe evolution of these diseases.
Understand the potential role of a psychological trauma on the evolution of these diseases.
Néphrologie
The different renal functions are summarized. Resulting from a injury caused by a third party dysfunction may arise and have to be detected, importance and consequences have to be assessed for short and long time. Investigations methods of the renal function are described, as well as clinical signs and symptoms of uinary and renal tracts and their dangers for developing renal insufficiency.
A description of the Belgian Official Registry for Handicapped patients is made focusing on renal disease people.

Basic knowledges in gastrointestinal diseases and gastro-intestinal tract pathophysiology.
