Learning unit contents
This course intends
- to propose a synthesis, at the end of the learning process ot the student specialized in Financlal Analysis & Audit, of the different techniques and tools used to realize a legal and financial business diagnosis
- to illustrate how professionals from the consulting and banking industry use these techniques and tools in their daily activity.
- the creation of the firm (business plan)
- the emerging phase (individual support to emerging firms)
- the growth phase (financing of the different steps of the growth)
- the transmission phase (transmission and take-over of an existing firm)
- the recovery or the exit phase (liquidation and recovery of the failing firm)
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Strategy : The course will allow students to establish a strategy in order to optimize the value chain of a company, an organization or a project. Implementation : The course will allow students to take charge of the everyday management of a company, an organization or a project Quality and Performance Control : The course will allow students to plan and implement the performance and quality control in a company, an organization or a project Communication : The course will allow students to communicate efficiently, internally and externally, about a company, organization or project Adaptability : The course will allow students to adapt their managerial practice to the needs of a fast-evolving world
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Advanced knowledge in accounting, financial statement analysis, corporate finance and financing decisions and business strategy
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Ex-caethedra sessions and interactive conferences presented by professionals from the bank and the consulting industry
Prior and ex-post knowledge of the specific supports linked to each conference
An individual case study is realized inside the firm that welcomes the student for his/her internship or his/her Project Thesis
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Compulsory presence to the different conferences - Absence may lead to the exclusion out of the course

Assessment methods and criteria
Individual defence of a real business diagnosis in a pitch format
Presentation of a professional PPT support and delivery of a detailed written report before the oral defence of the report
