The goal of the lecture is to introduce students with the running developments of technologies to increase efficiency of energy and material usage in the differents sectors as transport, industry, buildings, and production and distribution of energy (as electricity)

- Be able to set up a litterature survey and a state of the art of the technology
- Be able to write a summary of the available information
- Be able to develop an action plan to propose innovative solutions for a given present problem
