Learning unit contents
This course will deal with of the relations between Sciences and Societies. It will be organised around three subjects : Science's issues, Actor-Network-Theory and the place of living beings in the social sciences.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The learning outcomes of the course will be :
- to understand environmental controversies in their complexity;
- to understand and work with different theoretical frameworks and use of different analytical tools to deal with controversies;
- to be able to read and be accountable of scientific litteratures.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
A bundle of text will serve as material in support of the course. The texts for which a reading note card will be written have to be read prior to the corresponding session.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
The class mixes ex cathedra sessions and seminar sessions.
Recommended or required readings
The articles will be made available to students.
Assessment methods and criteria
An oral examination will take place in january.

Active student participation is necessary for the dynamic of the course as it is based on their presentation and group discussion.
