Learning unit contents
This course is made up of two interconnected parts: estate law and liberalities. The main goal is to go into detail of the legal rules studied during the lecture of the First Master in Law: an introduction to decedent's estate law and liberalities. The subject matter, especially over decedent's estate law, is studied from practical situations. The lecture is useful for the study of successoral planning or registration duties.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The purpose of the course is to bring an answer to the main important questions and mostly to suggest a case method for the resolution of the problem over decedent's estate law and liberalities.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A good knowledge of the course "Obligations theory and contracts" and "Introduction to inheritances and gifts".
A recal of the two courses is provided during the lectures.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
The course aims at solving practical exercises.
Recommended or required readings
Written notes are available.
A Civil Code is necessary as well as a calculator.
Assessment methods and criteria
The examination will be in May or June and will be made up, at least, of a practical exercise.
