Learning unit contents
This workshop aims to train students in capturing the 'real' and its theatrical establishment (notably through the analysis of documentary films screened during class).
As a workshop, this course consists of supervising the scriptwriting and directing of a short documentary film on a given theme and fulfilling the requirements given.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the workshop, students will be familiar with reality scriptwriting techniques and directing a documentary film.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Having followed the various cinema theory and analysis courses and documentary videos, in order to havea good knowledge of documentary scripts.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Drafting a project, scriptwriting and directing a documentary film of around ten minutes in length. The practical work carried out by each student will be the main subject of the workshop.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Regarding the technical aspects of the work (scenes, montage), students can benefit from the logistical and pedagogical aid of LICAM (Laboratoire d'Information et de Communication Audiovisuelles et Multimedia).
