Learning unit contents

Enrichment of Japanese language skills (grammar) and improvement of communication level (oral expression). At this stage, student must take the initiative for a more interactive class atmosphere.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

To offer to students opportunities to improve and enrich their linguistic abilities.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic Japanese skill (beginner's level) is required.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Face-to-face method. Supplementary works are given via eCampus.

Assessment methods and criteria

Final exam in June (writing and oral). A control of the middle-year in January (writing). Participation of the Japanese Language & Literature events that will be held at the festival "Mixed Zone" is obligatory as a part of continuous evaluation. http://events.ulg.ac.be/mixedzone/programme/
The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 30% of the June final grade if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it doesn't reach 10/20). Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative.

Organizational remarks

The time table for this academic year hes been fixed to :
Thursday, 16h-18h (1st semester). Room 6/11 (A2).
Thursday, 9h-11h (2nd semester), Room 4/9 (A2).   The first course : Thursday 21st September.    The information session for all japanese courses given by Prof. Goto will be held on Friday 15h September. The room is 6/8. We will discuss and determine this year's timetable (if there were problem of schedule for most of the students).
