Learning unit contents :
The course of methodology is dedicated to the tasks of collecting and analysing qualitative data about social, political or institutional dimensions of environmental issues. It relates to managing and doing interviews.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit :
Through the use of semi-structured interviews, students will be put in good condition for the elaboration of an investigation's strategy; to render them capable of the preparation, the management and the analysis of a survey on an environemental issue ; and finally to have a critical and reflexive assesment of it.

The fieldworks will be carried on a single issue. Interviews will be carried out by groups of students under the guidance of a supervisor. Critical discussions about the unfolding and the outputs of the interviews will be organized.

The evaluation of the qualitative part of the course is on the basis of a portolio including a personal synthesis of the course.
