| The course of « Evolution » represents 3 ECTS. It will be given in auditorium. There is no practical work in the laboratory. However, the teacher can adapt the content of the course as well as the activities according to any scientific or academic opportunities or constraints.
The course is made of seven sections : Partie I: Darwin theory of Evolution Partie II: Darwin theory of Evolution (suite) Partie III: Synthetic theory of evolution Partie IV: Adaptative evolution and natural selection Partie V: From micro- to macroevolution Partie VI: Macroevolution modalities Partie VII: Human evolution |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Contribute to basic education by providing student disciplinary and technical skills in the study of biological evolution. At the end of the course the student is expected toto explain the mechanisms involved in the appearance of new taxa (micro- and macroevolution), to present the transformists and evolutionary theories that have followed, to explain the evolution of man, to present the genetic basis of evolution. | |||||
