| This internship is complementary to those made outside the university during the Master and has a double objective : ensuring a common basis for future practice of the speech therapist and accompany the reflexive development by promoting the articulation of knowledge and clinical skills.
It consists of two modules: The module "Appropriation d'une démarche d'évaluation" covers (a) the background history and the conclusion of the assessement (both in content that complex situations that may arise during these interviews), and also (b) the preparation, implementation and interpretation of speech therapy assessments. The module "Familiarisation avec une démarche de prise en charge" covers (a) the construction of the treatment plan and (b) the the effectiveness of the therapeutic intervention. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| The learning activities proposed in the module on the assessment helps the student to:
1) Identify and justify the content of a background history interview in spoken language and written language ;
2) Reflect on professional attitudes to adopt to complex situations that may arise in the interview of background history and/or assessement's conclusion ;
3) Prepare and justify the content of a speech therapy assessment ;
4) Interpret a speech therapy assessment on the basis of acquired skills and deficit of the patient;
5) Pursue a self-assessment approach in the context of speech therapy evaluation.
The learning activities proposed in the module on the intervention helps the student to: 1) Develop and argue a treatment plan based on the Evidence-Based Practice; 2) Understand the principle of therapeutic baselines and build a base line adapted to the patient's treatment plan. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| For the module on the assessment, several learning activities are proposed:
1) Sessions to prepare a language assessment, to correct assessment's tasks, to interpret results and drafting a report, based on consultations carried out at the Clinique Psychologique et Logopédique Universitaire ;
2) The achievement by the student of a speech therapy evaluation with a fictional patient;
3) e-Learning modules on the content and complex situations that can occur during the interviews of background history or conclusion of the assessment;
4) The achievement by the student of an interview with a fictional patient;
5) Debriefing sessions with the teacher on the quality of the prepared and corrected language assessment, and the written report ; on the quality of the fictitious language assessment and student's self-assessment ; on the quality of the interview and student's self-assessment.
For the module on the intervention, during ex-cathedra sessions, the principles underlying the development and argumentation of a therapeutic project, and the development of therapeutic baselines will be developed. Then, based on the language assessement's report written in the module "Appropriation d'une démarche d'évaluation", the student will prepare a treatment plan and build a baseline. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The final score of teh intership is based on the quality of work done in :
1) the preparation of the language assessement, the correction and interpreting of the patient's results and the written report ;
2) the fictitious assessment and interview ;
3) the studient's self-assessment ;
4) the e-Learning modules;
5) the accuracy and the argumentation of the therapeutic project built for a patient;
6) the appropriateness and the justification of the baseline constructed to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention in a patient.
The student must pass each part of the internship to obtain a minimum final grade of 10/20. The student must pass each part of the intership to obtain a minimum final grade of 10/20. When one party is failed, the overall grade of the intership is the failure score of 7/20 without this rating can not exceed the overall average of four parties not less than the rating the failure in part. |
