Course contents :

| The different events that make up this course aim to accompany the construction of the professional student project.
It is the first course of the device "Professional Development of Speech therapist" present throughout the Bachelor. In the "Approach" declination, the profession is seen through the pathologies (speech therapist practicing in dyslexia, dysphasia, deafness, voice disorders, acquired disorders in adults, handicap) and student get to see. In the "Positioning" declination (2nd Bachelor), the profession is seen through the skills of speech therapist (prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, professional relationship, expertise) and lead the student to see on the fieldwork and starts acting. In the "Integration" (3rd Bachelor) declination, the competency-based approach is reinforced and the student is bringing to demonstrate his mastery of core competencies of speech therapist. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Through various learning activities, this course helps the student 1) To construct a representation of the scopes and roles of the profession of speech therapist ; 2) Understand the interest and the links between courses of 1st Bachelor and future professional practice; 3) Use the sources most relevant to answer questions ; 4) Work with other students of the 1st Bachelor in order to achieve an oral presentation in group. | |||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| Different activities will be implemented : 1) plenary sessions. 2) profession-based conferences. Professional speech therapists will be present and will give an account of their career paths and professional experience. The students will be requested to engage with these professionals. 3) a imposed reading on the characteristics of university training in speech therapy. 5) a mind map on his representation of the profession as a speech therapist. The student will create a mind map that illustrates his representation of the speech therapist and modify as you go. 6) a journal with worksheets to complete at the end of each event (profession-based conference and reading). 7) a group presentation on diseases that have not been presented by the therapists during profession-based conferences. | |||||

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The assessment criteria will be announced during the first session of the course. These criteria will take into account the presence at the different events and the quality of work submitted and presented into account.
* Obligatory presence at 5 profession-based conferences (on 6 proposed) * Written work with the following sections: - the contents of the student's journal - summary of the imposef reading - the "final" version of the mind map * Oral work : This presentation will be in a group and focus on the pathologies and interventions of speech therapists in some areas. Instructions will be provided to students during the first session of the course. Note about the final note: The student must pass each part (written report and oral presentation of group) of the course to obtain a minimum final grade of 10/20. When one party is failed, the final score is the score of 7/20 without this rating can not exceed the overall average of both parties not less than the rating of the failure in part. Note about spelling: if the report for the first session contains more than 10 spelling errors, it will be rejected and must be resubmitted in the second session. If the report submitted in the second session contains more than 10 spelling errors, 2 points will be removed from the student's final mark for the course. |

*Second session The activities will only be organized once on the dates that will be communicated at the beginning of the year. There will therefore not be any event (conference) organized between the exam sessions of May/June and August/September. |
