| On the basis of the course "training of early childhood professionals - partim I", this course gives students opportunities to deepen the analysis of the current challenges for initial and in-service training in the field of early childhood education and care. It introduces students to the analysis of various training systems and approaches to professionalization well-known in the field on the international level. | ||||||||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| By groups, students will choose, among different proposals made par the lecturer, an internationally recognized, initial training system set in another country, analyse it and present it, in a critical and referenced way, to their peers. They refer to professionalization challenges identified, during courses of partim I, in the Brussels-Wallonia Federation to provide a background to their analysis. On the basis of ther referenced analysis, they will engage their peers in a debate.
The report they will write down includes the whole analysis and proposes realistic, pertinent and contextualised regulation proposals for the Belgium context. The lecturer will propose a file containing necessary articles and reports that will be extended to personal complementary resources. He will organize seminars about professionalization challenges with the possible contribution of experts in the field. |
