| Each teacher is giving two half days seminars to present specialized risk assessment methods for biomechanical risks, work accidents and psychosocial factors. | |||||

Learning outcomes of the course :

| General
- to train the occupational health physician in its legal role as prevention advisor in charge of evaluating risks at the workplace Specifically: -to teach particular methodologies for risk-assessment in the area of the physical workplace, the efforts, postures and biomechanical constraints involved in the workplace and in the area of stress and human reliability; -to place the student in a problem-resolution situation by inviting him or her to apply these methodologies to a real work situation; -to encourage the student to develop an aptitude for presenting work and communicating. |

| The part of the course covered by Professor J.M. RIGO will focus on the ex-cathedra courses concerning the industrial environment and risk analysis. A group exercise will then take place aiming to logically study the causes and origins of incidents or even accidents encountered by the participants in their workplace. Each group will compile a report which will constitute a general assessment of the course relative to the group members. | |||||

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The student is required to choose a work situation in a professional environment which he or she is going to study in an in-depth way in order to assess the risks for health, safety and well-being at work by means of one or several methodologies.
The student will present the results of his or her analysis to the other students and lecturers during a final seminar organized at the end of the year. |
