Course contents :
Text linguistics and discours analysis applied to intercultural and multilingual communication in Dutch
Learning outcomes of the course :
1) Better (written and spoken) command of the Dutch language in acadamic and non-academic domains.
2) Better understanding of the differences between written and spoken language and the stylistic and contextual variation, incl. register differences and specialized language.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Command of written and spoken Dutch.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Critical reading of the relevant scientific litterature.
Analysis of written and spoken data that are representative of different (professional) contexts, registers.
Wirtten and oral exercises.
