Course contents :

| The course is divided in two parts: theory and practical training. To start with, students will analyse speeches to identify units of meaning, main ideas and links. Pratical exercices (A langage into A, then C into A). Memory exercise, mindmapping, note-taking, reformulation, voice management, communication. | |||||

| By the end of this course, students will be able to translate a 6 to 10-min speech in consecutive from English into French. | |||||

Prerequisite knowledge and skills :

| French as mother tongue or equivalent knowledge. Listening to the BBC (podcast, World Service or any other English-speaking broadcast ...). Highly recommended from 3 to 4 times a week. Listening to French radio programmes (France Inter or equivalent) Reading the newspapers everyday in French and English (1 article at least same topic) | |||||
