Units courses prerequisite and corequisite :
| Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program | ||||||||
Course contents :
| (1) carbonate diagenesis (mineralogy and petrology of carbonate minerals, diagenetic sequences). Methods include petrography, cathodoluminescence, isotopic geochemistry. (2) Sedimentary basin analysis (sequential analyses, sedimentary models). |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| (1) Recognition and interpretation of a diagenetic sequence. Use of cathodoluminescence and isotopic geochemistry. (2) Interpretation of a sedimentary bassin, specially in terms of sea-level variations. |
