Organisation and examination :
Teaching in the second semester
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite :
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Course contents :
(1) carbonate diagenesis (mineralogy and petrology of carbonate minerals, diagenetic sequences). Methods include petrography, cathodoluminescence, isotopic geochemistry.

(2) Sedimentary basin analysis (sequential analyses, sedimentary models).
Learning outcomes of the course :
(1) Recognition and interpretation of a diagenetic sequence. Use of cathodoluminescence and isotopic geochemistry.

(2) Interpretation of a sedimentary bassin, specially in terms of sea-level variations.
