Teaching in the first semester, review in January
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite :
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Course contents :
- Description of the chemical industry: main supply chains and key processing industries - Introduction to chemical catalysis: homogeneous catalysis, heterogeneous catalysis, main industrial applications - Methodology for the study of processes in the chemical industry: functional analysis and value analysis of a chemical process, thermodynamic feasibility and kinetic approach, spatial organization of industrial patterns, notion of flow sheet, scheme of simple and complex structure processes, material balances and yield calculation -Evaluation of chemical hazards in the processes

Learning outcomes of the course :
Integrate unit operations of chemistry in a global and applicable process
After completing the course the student is expected to
be able to calculate yields and mass balance-sheet, to conceive experiences in order to attain these objectives, to manage a team project , to restitute its work and analyse it.
