Course contents :
The seminar aims at providing the students with the essential methological tools in the field or history of architecture. 
The emphasis is put on identification, localisation and critical analysis of the sources, with the aim of writing a paper during the second part of the course (second semester). 
Documentary resources are considered in the broad sense of the term, ranging from the archive to the publications and including audiovisual material and interviews.
 
Learning outcomes of the course :
At the end of the course, the student is accustomed with the main documentary resources types in the field of history of architecture and the ways to use them. 
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Basic knowledge of architectural history.

Methodological seminars, visits of archive centres/libraries and lectures.
