Course contents :

| This work placement aims at developing a collaborative project with a teacher working at the pre-primary, primary or lower secondary level.
The work takes place in two steps. First, a period of observation aims at identifying the constituent components of the context. Secondly, a response phase aims to build with the teacher a pedagogical tool, meeting the needs jointly identified in the first step.
Note: For those students who teach, this work placement must takes place in a school other than their own. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Mobilize and combine various theoretical frameworks developed in the module in order to:
- analyse some didactic designs according to two dimensions: teachers' professional skills and pupils knowledge construction ;
- undertake a reflexive partnership with a teacher in order to help him to implement some teaching/learning approaches based on his/her needs (needs that will have been identified jointly);
- take a global view on the whole collaborative process set up.

| Prerequisites : courses and work placements related to the module, Master 1 degree.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| The methodology will blend work placement and support seminars. |
 |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
 |
| First quarter:
- A first information session will take place on the Saturday, November 8, as a part of the course PEDA4028-1: organizational arrangements and reading file about the collaborative approach topic.
- A launching seminar will take place in December (see the detailed schedule): exploitation of readings, defining the main observation axes, validation of the work places that students will submit and finally signature of work agreements.
Second quarter:
- Work placement in a school from the end of January to the spring break (8 weeks meaning about half a day a week).
- Two support seminars at the end of February and in early April.
- Final report, end of April.
- In May, seminar for a face to face presentation of the reports.

| A reading folder will be submitted early in the year. Some additional readings could be suggested depending on the themes aimed for the work placement. |

| A written report and a face to face presentation of the report will be required. |

Organizational remarks :
 |
| Students who teach have to locate this work placement in a other school than their own. From mid January till mid April, they will have to make time during half a day a week in school time.
The support seminars will take place on Saturday. |
