Course contents :  
In order to develop an integrated management to control pests (insects and microbial pathogens) and weeds, the chemical control methods are presented and included in sustainable and efficient strategies. The physiological state of crop plants are also considered to include the symptoms of abiotic stresses. Monitoring systems illustrate the epidemiological evolution of bio-agressors, the rational use and et the application techniques of phytosanitary products related to the treatment compatibility (in relation to action modes, formulations and use of biological agents - substances) are also presented. To develop agri-environmental management approach in crop plots aiming to promote beneficial micro- and macro-organisms, the appropriate management of soil and plant biodiversity are developed. This management takes into account the wild species - potential weeds, , the crop plant - weed relations as the plants - bio-agressors - beneficials and plants-bio-agressors-antagonists. That management is illustrated by several case studies (intercropping crops, herbaceous strips, edge settlement to agro-forestry, soil working and fertilising...) related to diversity and abondance of weeds, bio-agressors and beneficial (micro)-macro-organisms (pollinators, predators and parasites, antagonist micro-organisms and/or fertilisers).
1. Bio-agressor knowledge: definition, noxiousness, harmfulness threshold.
2. Biology, including propagation modes, ecology, population dynamics.
3. Non-chemical management techniques: physical (mechanical, thermal, others) and biological.
4. Chemical control of weeds and pests
5. Integrated Management on crops, in agricultural areas
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of this course, students will have demonstrated its ability to be used in seminars and restore during the final exam:
1. Bring a global view of the integrated management of different groups of pest organisms by including several considerations on weeds, phytopathology, entomology and phytotechnical, phytopharmaceutical and economical views,
2. Demonstrate the integration of several methods of control and management of weeds and bio-agressors based on (in)compatibilities and constraints bound to whole groups of pests,
3. Allow th appropriate decision to set sustainable and efficient methods to control weeds and bio-agressors according to diverse crop situations. Knowledge of basics of biology and ecophysiology and their noxiousness in cropping systems. Knowledge of chemical and non-chemical methods to ensure bio-agressor population management in agricultural ecosystems.
After completing the course, the student is expected to: - Risks analyses of bio-agressor presence in agricultural and non-agricultural area; - Design an integrated control plan, taking into account efficacy, regulatory, economical and environmental aspects
