Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| to obtain a good approach to emergency and critical care cases in companion animals.
to participate in the respect of rules regarding biosecurity, ensure gygiene of and administration of treatments to hospitalized companion animals. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
 |
| The candidate has to hold a diploma in veterinary medicine and a complementary master in specialized veterinary medicine (applied clinical science) or have performed a clinical internship (of at least one year duration) that is deemed equivalent. |
 |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| The candidate will benefit from teaching moments during complete immersion with specialists in the clinical field. Part of a multidisciplinar qualified team the candidate will be able to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
During the practical and clinical activities, the candidate will be accompanied by students from the second cycle, which will imply that the candidate will acquier didactical and pedagogical skills to help training these students.
In order to ensure an adequate supervision during the entire training period, the candidate will be assigned to a tutor. |
