Course contents :

| In-depth study of Dutch/French business language by means of translation exercises on various business-related subjects (e.g. excerpts of specialized books, newspapers, magazines). Special attention is also paid to translation theory and specialized terminology, as well as their application to Dutch/French business language. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Develop students' translating skills.
Develop some awareness of economic mechanisms (both on the macro and micro level) as well as their specific terminology. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| The students must have attended the course "Théorie et pratique de la traduction" of the first Master's year (TRAD0043-1). |

| Contrastive, linguistic analysis of authentic texts in the field of economy. Critical presentation and discussion of the relevant translation theory. Translation exercices of economic texts. |

| - Permanent evaluation: 2 tests during the course
- Written exam: translation of an authentic economic text in line with the themes dealt with during the course
- Oral examen: presentation of the reader, translation theory, correction of the written exam |
