  • Foreword: population and sample
  • Descriptive statistics
  • Sets and combinatorics
  • Probabilities (Bayes theorem)
  • Random variables
  • Probability laws (Uniform, Binomial, Poisson, Gaussian, Chi-2, Student, Lorentz)
  • Convergences 
  • Hypothesis testing (First kind error, Neyman principle, tests for a mean)
  • Inference for means and variances (one and multi-sample problems)
  • Inference for proportions (one and multi-sample problems)
  • One way ANOVA (tests)
  • Two ways ANOVA (tests)
  • Linear regression model (estimation and prediction)
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Practical and computationnal mastery of the main statistical notions.

The course is self-sufficient, although elementary knowledge of calculus is a help.
