The first part of the course highlights the centrality of Social and how were formed and transformed our Social states (of the welfare state to the Social State Assets). The second part of the course interrogates the Social (and more specifically social intervention) when it conjugates its reality to the "conditions of effective social life" and dynamic of life courses. Several themes hold our attention: Why do we work? Is it essential to work? What will happen when we do not work? Is it easy to live without working? How to live as unemployed? Artist? Is it necessary to work to give meaning to his life? Do we imagine that there is a mission there : be helpful, be used for something? What do the experts say? Can we compose an identity of social workers ? What about users ? Unemployed?
To try to answer these questions (and others), the second part of the course is based on a series of interventions delivered by specialists and experts, then discussed in class in terms of the issues identified. The detailed program of these interventions will be provided during the course. |
