1. The concept of the "interview" and different categories of interviews
2. Communication axioms
3. Preparing for an interview
4. Questioning techniques, reformulation and feedback
5. Building an interview guide
6. Attitudes during interviews
7. Critical events and how to deal with them
8. Decoding techniques and evaluating an interview
9. Using collected information
10. Ethical problems posed by interviews
Learning outcomes of the course :  
1. To acquire the theoretical foundations to enable students to decode the main processes of interpersonal communication
2. To acquire the methodological foundations and techniques to enable students to carry out interviews for the purposes of collecting information
3. To learn how to use the methods and techniques covered in class
4. To put professional interviewing use into perspective
5. To develop a critical approach to the student's own interview practices
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
This compulsory practical work consists of participating in role-playing exercises and scenarios during which, through the use of feedback (particularly video recordings), students can evaluate and perfect their interviewing technique.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
The student will prepare, carry out and film a real interview on a subject given by the lecturer. The exam consists of presentating the performance and the student's critical analysis of it.
