| The theoretical cours is devided in 6 chapters each one covering a particular topic :
-Chap. I: Reminders of C++
-Chap. II:Numerical Integration
-Chap. III : Roots, minima and maxima of a function
-Chap. IV : Linear systems of equations
-Chap. V : Splines curves
-Chap. VI : Numerical solution of differential equations |

- To learn using the computers to solve various problems encountered in physics.
- To teach the related algorithms
- To implement these algorithms in C/C++

| Basic notions of programming |

| 10 afternoons. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| The theoretical and practical classes are given in the first quadrimestre. Practical classes are held in computers room at the 4th floor of the Physics building B5. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Evaluation is weighed as follows
- 40% for written examination
- 50% for practical examination (a code to write)
- 10% oral questions during the practical sessions |
