Language(s) of instruction :
| English language |
Organisation and examination :
| Teaching in the first semester, review in January |
Course contents :
| Teaches, based on experimental observations, how to build mathematical models describing the non linear behavior of solids, especially elasto-plastic, visco-plastic and visco elastic material models. Subsequently describes the numerical algorithms suited for model solution. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| Being able to
- Understand and design complex material models
- Understand numerical techniques to solve the model
- Use a finite element code for structure simulation in the elastic-plastic domain.
