Course contents :  
The course combines close attention to literary texts with a cultural and historical approach. It includes some film testimonies, plays, and more recent Canadian novels. Special attention will be paid to poems by writers who were involved in the war.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Students will have developed their capacity for close reading and their critical sensitivity to historical perspective.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
A good knowledge of English.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Most of the course consists of seminars in which we share our various approaches.

Face to face, though with some distance learning modules.
