Course contents :

| The course combines close attention to literary texts with a cultural and historical approach. It includes some film testimonies, plays, and more recent Canadian novels. Special attention will be paid to poems by writers who were involved in the war. |

| Students will have developed their capacity for close reading and their critical sensitivity to historical perspective. |

| Most of the course consists of seminars in which we share our various approaches. |
