Study of poets and prose writers associated with the Dutch East Indies (H.A. Meijer, Louis Couperus, Jan Prins, H.J. Friedericy, Hella Haasse, Han Resink, Harry Mulisch, ...).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Familiarize students with (post)colonial discourses and ideological undercurrents in Dutch literary texts.
