Elementary study of an operating system
Study of the major functions of word processors, spreadsheets and presentation program. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| To allow students to master the digital world so that they can use these tools in their job as a translator and interpreter.
Students will be able to adapt to the different products on the market and the different software versions.
Skills acquired at the end of the course:
- knowledge of basic computing vocabulary
- using operating systems to manage applications and files
- using an office suite to create correctly formatted documents and to manage schedules and presentations.

All students will have a PC in class, and a computer room linked to the internet is open to students during the week

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Assessment method and correction criteria: continuous assessment, i.e. during each session, students are assessed on the way they work and their final result (work saved on external media and on hard disk).
Work: in addition to the students' personal work on the computer during each session, three summaries will be requested according to certain deadlines.
There will be a written exam at the end of the course.
The final mark will be spread between the requested pieces of work (1/3) and the exam (2/3) |
