Course contents :
 |
| The course will include:
-An introduction to several softwares for comparing two nucleotide or peptide sequences (Blast, FastA, Clustal, ...) and a description of the different sequence data bases available from Internet;
- The different methods for identifying a coding frame within a nucleotide sequence;
- The various programs that allow characterization of a peptide sequence (hydrophobicity, secondary structure prediction, theoretical isoelectric point, search of motif, ...).
The practical works associated with this module will enable students to use the software tools presented during the theory course. |
