Course contents :  
The course covers five mechanisms of the Roman law system which realize conveyance of rights without compensation. The five mechanisms include the idea of gratuitousness and several exceptions to the general system.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course aims at displaying the general economy of the decedent's estate law and liberalities but also at showing the standards that inspired the lawmaker for each exception to the system.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The main purpose of the course involves the knowledge of "the Obligation Theory and the contract ". Recalls of these subjects are made during the lectures.

The lectures take place according to the time table arranged at the beginning of the academic year.

The examination will include, at least, a practical exercise dealing with a liquidation of decedent's estate
