Course contents :
Interpretation principles of cutaneous microscopy by epiluminescence of the trichogramme and biopsy of surface, 2nd year

This course reports on three non-invasive methods, useful in dermatological practice, representing some aid support for clinical diagnosis.
1)   Skin surface biopsy :

  • Methods for collecting stratum corneum
  • Interest for diagnosis in cutaneous diseases
  • Interest in experimental dermatology
2)   Trichogram :

  • Normal and pathologic hair cycle
  • Evaluation methods for alopecia
3)   Dermoscopy :

  • General dermoscopic criterias
  • Differential diagnosis between pigmented melanocytic and non melanocytic lesions
  • Differential diagnosis between benign melanocytic lesions and melanoma.
