Learning outcomes of the course :
The first part of the course will be devoted to the structural and chemical properties of proteins. The second part consists in an introduction to enzyme catalysis
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
Lectures in genral biochemistry
Thermodynamic and classical physic
Organic chemistry
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Most lectures are given using the blackboard and (hopefuly) white chalk. Problem tutorials are organized in relation with some chapters (e.g. enzymology). Finally, 40 h of practical course, dedicated to protein purification and enzyme catalysis
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Face-to-face only
Recommended or required readings :
Syllabus + power point presentations
Assessment methods and criteria :
Practical courses + Written + oral examination
A minimal note of 8/20 will be requested for the two parts of the course
Work placement(s) :
Organizational remarks :
Lectures will be organized following the schedule known by the students. The professor will inform the students in advance of any possible modification to this
