Course contents :  
This course concentrates on the observation of the actor's work at the XXe century and the process of character development. Using analysis of spectacles and films, the course composes a panorama of the principal theories of the actor, theatricals (Stanislavski, Meyerhold, Brecht...) or cinematographics (Checkhov, Strasberg, Bresson, Moullet...).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
- To sensitize the students with the question of the actor's work.
- To teach to the students how to recognize a sort of acting.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of the history and the esthetics of the cinema and the theatre.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Reading reports and an analysis of actor's filmography are requested from the students.
