| "The artist is an inventor of places, modelling and putting flesh on the bones of improbable spaces (...)" (Georges Didi-Huberman, L'homme qui marchait dans la couleur, Les éditions de Minuit, Paris, 2001)
Poets, dancers and architects are artists in this sense.
Going beyond all definition, this consists of tying together living and creative relationships with the means of expression of one's time, giving perceptive content to experiences in the contemporary world, practising the art of discovery and experimentation.
This workshop explores the cross-over between the arts and architecture through multi-disciplinary dialogue with dance, drawing, theatre, sculpture, poesy ... and questions their relationship to the issue of space according to work themes:
- variation around the theme of the body - space - time:
Space and the perception of space through the body.
Co-existence on multiple scales
- plastic research:
The universe of forms, their creation and interaction.
Highlighting the idea of geometric and plastic spatiality
- the environment: on-site work, addressing the Other, private-public space.
Expanding the relationships between architecture, art and the environment.
The experience of space.
'Totemisation' of the subject.
Adaptation of symbols in the urban setting
Organisation
External partnerships: collaboration with invited artists, lectures from art historians, philosophers, etc.
Depending on the time available: exhibitions, galleries, public spaces, interfaculty workshops, etc. Art-Architecture Laboratory: a meeting place weaving connections between arts and architectures and creating possible avenues for research. |
