Course contents :  
Students will present their work on an issue to which development organizations are confronted in the field. In the beginning, students will be given a list of themes and guidance on how to get to work. Then, while preparing their work in the library, they will attend a series of lessons on the anthropology of development. After this introduction, students will take turns presenting their work via oral presentations to the seminar.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The objective of the course is to give students tools to critically analyze development policies. Students must develop an argumentation that is both synthetic and substantial in bibliographic terms about the subject they chose: health, refugees, environment, and so on. They will also have to show their abilities as regards delivery of public presentations.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
To want to reflect critically upon development policies, discourses and practices.

The course will be in seminar form.

A list of references for writing the essays will be posted  on MyULg at the beginning of the course
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Grading will depend on the oral presentation, the final essay, and class participation.
