Regarding to both "Mathematics" and "French" parts, the students will design (or adapt), implement and examine the learning and teaching activities in a group of pupils (or in a whole class). They will analyze how the activity is carried out and they will measure / interpret the effects of the activities on the pupils. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
- design or adapt current learning and teaching activities that help to improve the targeted skills and knowledge and to analyze the conditions of implementation
- examine mistakes, difficulties and procedures mobilized by the pupils during these activities
- assess the learning outcomes
- look at these activities in a reflexive way. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| Students who take the Formation pédagogique approfondie pour l'enseignement fondamental et secondaire inférieur module must undertake this work experience during the same academic year they attend the Enseignement/apprentissage des mathématiques et du français course.
Students who take the Formation initiale des enseignants module do not undertake this work experience, even if they have chosen the Enseignement/apprentissage des mathématiques course or the Enseignement/apprentissage du français course as an option. |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| Both parts of the work experience will be integrated into both Enseignement/apprentissage des mathématiques et du français. The practical arrangements will be defined during each course. |

Some additional readings could be asked according to the chosen subjects of experimentation. |
