Contents
This course deals with
  • different research paradigms used in the educational technology field.
  • results from meta-analyses, action-research, innovation research, research and development.
Potential topics to study are: - ICT didactics - Creation, animation process and impact of Communities of Practice - Acceptability and appropriation of innovating learning environments - Distance tutoring - Learning strategies in educational environments including ICT - Efficiency of ICT ressources use - Autonomy, Motivation, and self-esteem in e-learning - Innovation in e-projects - ...
Learning outcomes of the course :  
- To know and discuss about differents research problematics in Education Technology, methods and results.
- Make a micro research.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
This course is integrated in the "ICT module" of the master in educational sciences.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Methodology is based on
- presentations and debates
- case analysis
- personal research on a chosen topic
- distance activities supported by an e-tutor
- possibility to be integrated to a research in the field of ICTE
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course takes place during the second term:
- Face-to-face sessions
- Distance activities
Recommended or required readings :  
The ressources are available online (eCampus).
Additional resources (software, links to elearning environment, etc.) are also available depending on the chosen research topics.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Evaluation takes into account:
1. the level of participation to the course 2. the production of a research report on a chosen topic 3. the oral presentation of the resaerch work
The student will receive an appreciation and a feed-back for his/her work.
Remark. The student has to: - respect typology rules - use APA norms - use a style sheet and respect ergonomic rules when he/she products a document - respect orthographic and grammatical rules
